Responsibilities
Assist the Fashion program and its students with various duties in the lab and classroom settings. The student aide will take inventory and report to FAS Lab Assistant on supply needs. Other duties will include organization and cleanup of lab and classroom facility, mail, correspondence and supply delivery and equipment maintenance. The student aide will be responsible for monitoring student activity in the lab following a checklist of rules and expectations. The student aide will report to the FAS Lab Assistant for daily instructions and the FAS Lab Assistant will keep coordinator informed on activities.
Qualifications
Education Requirements:
To apply for this position, you must be a current FAS Harper College student and enrolled in at least 6 credits per semester (3 in the summer semester).
Experience Requirements:
The student aide must be computer literate to the extent they can create files/folders. They will be organized and conscientious about duties and complete tasks on time. They will be polite and courteous to students working in the lab and will seek help from FAS Lab Assistant when issues arise. They will take direction well and have a positive attitude. They must be able to safely lift at least 25 pounds.
