Position Description:We are searching for a Director of Strategic Communications who will be responsible for managing the Farm Credit Bank of Texas' internal communication and B2B marketing initiatives. This is a player/coach position leading a small communications team, while playing an active, hands-on role in developing and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy for a wholesale bank and technology service provider.The ideal candidate is an experienced team leader who is detail-oriented and proactive, is a strong writer and who has a proven track record of success managing communications initiatives in the lending industry. Prefer experience in lending (mortgage, auto, finance, or others) and/or loan servicing industries.Core deliverables include, but are not limited to, facilitating the bank's annual and quarterly financial reports, drafting and distributing financial press releases, facilitating initiatives and deliverables that drive company culture and messaging, promoting consistency and accuracy in commercial customer communications, managing board of directors' publications, developing a B2B marketing plan and maintaining the bank's websites, digital assets and brand strategy.Day-to Day-Duties and Responsibilities:- Strategy and Planning:- Develop comprehensive internal and external communication strategies aligned with bank objectives.- Determine a roadmap for marketing and communications' initiatives, monitoring success and proactively seeking opportunities to improve.- Set current and long-term goals for the communications team.

- Leadership:- Lead and manage the strategic communications team, providing guidance on bank priorities and ensuring the effective delivery of communications .- Cultivate internal relationships to position the communications team as a trusted advisor.- Represent the bank to customer and public audiences, periodically reporting to executive management and/or board of directors.

- Marketing Partner:- Enhance the bank's brand and reputation through strategic communication efforts and evaluate and refine brand guidelines for continual improvement.- Plan and execute B2B marketing campaigns/activities to drive confidence as a trusted partner in the financial industry.- Coordinate with internal partners to drive consistent and effective messaging to ensure employees and customers are informed and engaged on bank initiatives.- Support executive leadership with speechwriting, presentations, and other communication needs, ensuring alignment with overall business strategy.

- Content and Writing: - Collaborate with subject matter experts and draft compelling written content reflecti ng a strong grasp of the bank's finance and credit functions.- Ensure consistency in tone, style, and messaging across written communications and marketing efforts, aligned to the bank's mission and brand.

What You Bring to the Team:Our ideal candidate lives within a commutable distance from our office and appreciates the value of the hybrid work design.- It's an important role that covers many skills. This position requires:- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business, or a related field; or equivalent related experience.- 5-10 years' experience in a communications role, with a minimum of 5 years in team management.- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate a team.- Ability to work onsite in bank's Austin office on a regular basis.- Experience in the banking or related financial services industry or a strong finance or investor relations background.
