Education and Experience RequiredTen or more years’ design progressive experience4-year degree from an accredited university in Architecture, Construction Project Management, or related design disciplineExcellent business acumenComplex problem-solving skillsStrong background in architecture, interior architecture, and FF&EGood leadership ability with strategic/enterprise viewAll aspects of hospitality design and operationsStrong organizational skills & ability to manage multiple priorities & resourcesProven ability to build & maintain strong working relationshipsStrong presentation skillsStrong people/project management skillsDemonstrated ability to create and work in a team environmentEducation and Experience PreferredEight or more years’ experience preferably on hospitality projectsArchitectural licenseMaster of ArchitectureCORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Directs design and process (architecture and interior design) on MSB Renovation and Property Improvement Plan Relicensing projects, which include managed, franchised, and company-owned hotels, to ensure quality control, brand compliance, cost-effectiveness, timeliness, and operational acceptabilityLeads the MSB Renovation Interior Design Team, with effort focused on educating, guiding, and influencing customers in regard to hotel brand products and services, as well as renovation processRepresents the renovation team, both internally and externally to ensure compliance with renovation standardsEnsures team brand assignments and workload are equally distributed at all timesOversees complex accounts and influences approach and communication plan with ownership groupsSupports department leaders and functions as backup in their absenceRepresent the division/MI, both internally and externally, on projects to senior representativesMakes presentations to senior leaders and owners to gain their approval of design recommendations and/or owner exceptionsProvides leadership, management direction, and guidance to relevant internal and external team members to ensure that they have the necessary information to complete their responsibilitiesRepresents the company at the highest level as the face of the hotel brand’s at conferences, trade showsSells/influences owners/franchisees using MI expertise and knowledge to gain renovation complianceActs as liaison and point-of-contact for owners and franchisees to ensure excellent service and problem resolutionAdvises and updates owners and franchisees regarding brand design standards and initiativesProvides day-to-day review of team members’ professional performance and provide input for their improvement and career developmentReviews and guide team members on custom design submittals and drawings to ensure brand design standards are accurately representedBalances and maintain the pipeline of individual renovation projects and ownership accounts
