The newly created school-dedicated curriculum development team will focus on enhancements to our curriculum as identified by teachers and administrators at one of our Connections Academy schools. The intent of the team is twofold: first for our customers to participate in our development cycle and get immediate value from enhancements that will save them time better spent on building relationships with students and differentiating instruction; and second for our PVS teams to build relationships with our schools, understand their problems and opportunities, and appreciate how they are using our curriculum. The team is comprised of a product manager, a solutions manager, content developers, an assurance analyst, a content architecture and integration analyst, and a multimedia and graphics designer.

Role Description:

Working from home or from one of Pearson’s US-based offices, the multimedia and graphics designer conceptualizes, designs, and develops graphics, animations, audio, video, and multimedia assets to support learning engagement and the achievement of academic outcomes. As a member of the school-dedicated team, the multimedia and graphics designer will work with teachers and administrators to identify and prioritize school needs, develop their solutions, and test, validate, and deliver the solutions to our school customers.

Responsibilities:

Conceptualizes, designs, and develops custom graphics, animations, audio assets, and multimedia assets to drive student engagement and satisfaction and to support the achievement of learning outcomes

Develops assets in alignment to standards, including state-specific academic standards, WCAG 2.2AA accessibility standards, PVS authoring and style guides, and Pearson’s Global Content Policy

Demonstrate depth and/ or breadth of expertise and provide expertise to various stakeholders

Effectively and responsibly implements new ways of developing graphics and multimedia assets, including the use of generative AI

Has a measurable long-term impact on course performance and how it influences learner outcomes

Contributes to the end-to-end production of high-quality curriculum and resources according to teacher and student requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required; degree in education, curriculum, or similar area preferred

Minimum of 2 years of multimedia, graphics, or animation development experience required, with assets to support asynchronous virtual learning preferred

Demonstrates excellent verbal and writing skills

Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) or Educational Management Systems

Knowledge and understanding of WCAG2.2AA

Familiarity of K-12 academic standards and requirements, and their application in public institutions

Knowledge of content management systems and digital authoring tools

Technologically proficient with Microsoft® Office, Azure Dev Ops, Google Suite, and ability to learn other software programs and technology platforms quickly

Must enjoy a challenging work environment that requires flexibility, self-direction, creativity, strong communication, and organizational skills

As required by Equal Pay Transparency Act, Pearson provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado and New York City. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. As required by the Colorado and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:

Minimum full-time salary range begins at $65,000.
