Status; Full-time w/ benefitsJob DescriptionSCS Cabinets is a manufacturer of kitchen, bath, and outdoor living space cabinets thatare primarily sold wholesale to home builders and contractors. Our team of office andmanufacturing personnel, along with designers and installers, work together to receive,design, quote, sell, deliver, service, and install custom cabinets. The team is looking foran individual to work in the Design Division using Mozaik, 2020, and Buildertrendsoftware packages. The primary role is to function as a designer and customer relationsteam member - responsible for working with the customer to develop designs andtemplates used for producing the cabinets.
Functional Responsibilities• Working with the customer to create a proper value exchange betweenexpectations and sale/delivery• Designing the cabinets in design software• Producing design templates used for the production of the cabinets• Working with the production team to execute production• Engage in process of ordering and procuring products• Engage in process of entering orders, producing orders, and helping manageteam objectives
Process Responsibilities• Designing and planning cabinets and storage systems. Primarily focused onresidential kitchen and bath designs. Primary process duties include:o Consulting with clients to determine their needs and preferences.o Collaborating with other professionals, such as builders, interior designers,and Project Managers.
o Creating detailed drawings and 3D images of cabinet designs using 2020Design and Mozaik software packages.o Preparing and presenting design concepts and estimates to clients forapproval.o Working closely with the shop team to ensure feasibility in cabinetdesigns.o Calculating material usage and preparing material orders for purchasingdepartment.o Providing the shop with construction drawings and other pertinent jobinformation.o Creating cabinet part cut-files in Mozaik software to be used on the CNCrouter.
Project Responsibilities• Meet weekly with the Director of Operations• Meet weekly with the Design Manager• Complete daily tasking as directed by the Design Manager
Qualifications• Strong artistic and design skills, with an eye for detail.• Proficiency in computer-aided design software 2020 Design or Mozaik.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact withclients and team members.• Knowledge of cabinet construction techniques and materials.• Problem-solving abilities to address design challenges and create innovativesolutions.• Familiarity with industry standards and building codes.• Ability to read floor plans and other construction documents.• Organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
MENTAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS• Frequent standing, sitting, and walking• Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs• Continuous mental and visual attention, requiring alertness and activity• Ability to hear, see, and speak from short to long distances
