Interior Design Assistant

SUMMARYThe interior design assistant will be responsible for various tasks associated with residential and vacation rental projects while working first-hand with the owner of the company to keep things moving and organized, as well as have the opportunity to work with clients and industry professionals. This position is part-time with a guaranteed 20 hours/week but has the potential to be 30+ hours/week depending on number of current projects & assistant's availability. MUST BE LOCAL TO TAMPA, FLORIDA.RESPONSIBILITIESAssist lead designer in all phases of project life-cycle (initial client brief, concept design, design development, procurement, installation and photoshoot styling)Develop color and material palettes as instructed by lead designerCreate 3D renderings for client presentationsAssist with client communication, invoicing, budgets, filingAttend planning sessions, site measurements, site visits, and client/contractor meetingsAssist in sourcing furniture and accessories for client projectsRequest sample orders and communicate with vendors and contractorsHandle procurement including purchase orders, vendor communication, order tracking, and coordination of shipping/deliveryAssist with various administrative tasks and paperwork pertaining to design projectsRun errands (in-store returns, post office, etc.)Assist with creating social media content (reels, posts, stories, etc.) and mood boards for LTKQUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in interior designExperience in an administrative or design support role within the interior design industryAbility to create 3D renderingsOrganized, self-starter, problem solver who has the ability to think outside the boxSuperb time management skillsExcellent attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and documentationSuperb communication skills - both talking and listeningMust be client-presentable and professionalAble to multitask and produce high-quality work within given time limitationsProficient in Microsoft Office suiteReliable form of transportationAbility to sit/stand for prolonged periods of timeA hard work ethic, great attitude, passion for design, and desire to learn!
