Job Description:

The Coordinator, Marketing and College Information coordinates and assists in the creation of marketing and college information for press releases, feature articles, publications, brochures, newsletters, internal communications, website, social media, and other printed materials. Reports to the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Coordinates, writes, and edits college publications, press releases, promotional materials, feature articles, newsletters, other printed materials, social media messages, and web content.Assists college departments in the creation of promotional materials for activities and events.Assists in maintaining the marketing calendar of events.Serves in a leadership role in special publication projects.Serves as a liaison to the Marketing Committee and serves on other committees as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor's degree in communications or public relations and extensive experience in those fields. Successful results of a criminal background check are required.

Pursuant to College policy, it is an employment eligibility requirement for an applicant to meet the requirements of § 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations. Any person failing to meet the requirements of the statute will be deemed not qualified to hold employment in this position. A Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) approved background check will be conducted on every successful candidate as a condition of employment, and any person who fails to disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application will be disqualified from employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prefer excellent writer with command of Associated Press (AP) style; extensive experience working with the media in writing, editing, and/or publishing feature articles, publications, and social media; and experience working with educational institutions.

Annual Salary Range: $47,000.00 - $52,000.00
