Summary

Executive Administrative Support Specialist for the AFRL/AFOSR Civilian Unit Leader (CL). Support with calendar oversight and management; Defense Travel System (DTS) travel of CL.

Scheduling, planning, tracking and logistics of meetings, as well as coordination of CL briefings and talking points. Assist with management of key day-to-day planning, process improvement, protocol, operations, and special projects and with internal and external CL engagements and events.

Coordinates with the Chief Scientist Office (CSO), Director's Action Group (DAG), all AFOSR Senior Leaders and Divisions as needed. Serves as the records manager for CL and DD sub-organizations and ensures all files are maintained in accordance with AFRL, AFMC, DAF, and DoD policies.

Documents business processes, prepares operating instructions, tracks program and award suspenses and packages, and coordinates Front Office Group (FOG) taskers.

Composes written communication to and from all levels of management, outside agencies, private companies, and organizations.

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as Administrative Support Specialist in the Civilian Unit Leader (AFOSR CL) at Arlington, VA.

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. To qualify for this position, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the DO-1 (GS-11) broadband. Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
