NorthStar Memorial Group is seeking a Headstone Design Specialist at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo, CA. We are searching for an individual dedicated to celebrating the life of each person we are privileged to serve personally, meaningfully, and permanently. This role is critical to bringing each family closure by telling their loved one’s story in stone. The successful candidate will be a good listener, creative, organized, compassionate, and a great communicator.

Collaborate with families to create personalized headstone designs that reflect the deceased person’s life, interests, and personality.
Help families in choosing appropriate materials (such as granite, marble, or bronze) and fonts for inscriptions.
Coordinate and schedule timely memorial installations.
Maintain files and perform routine clerical tasks, including answering telephones and using office equipment.
Communicate with vendors to obtain pricing and sizes available.
Track inventory, maintain memorial logs, inspect delivered memorials for quality and accuracy, and review invoices.
Qualifications
Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Works well in a team-based environment.
Possesses professional communication skills and is comfortable working with families in a funeral home setting.
Demonstrates creativity in memorializing individuals on granite headstones, capturing their life stories through design and artistry.
Experience with cemetery headstones is preferred, and the right candidate will be trained accordingly.
Pay Range: $24-$26/hr.
