Job Overview:
The Lead Designer is responsible for leading and balancing multiple design and drafting projects.Serving as an industry specialist, this role will aid with scope, schedule and budget definition which will be integral to the overall success of our pipeline and related facilities!Responsibilities/Expectations:
Performs specialized drafting/designing assignments of an advanced natureAssists with the supervision of a unit of drafting/design personnelRecommends work methods, techniques and proceduresProvides technical support, designs, and drawings for sophisticated projectsAssumes responsibility for contribution to the success of a project and continued maintenancePrepares working plans, detail drawings and maps according to standards/specificationsCommunicates with our internal and external business partners to identify needs and satisfactionVerifies plans, designs, drawings, and maps conform to applicable codes/standardsAdvises project partners with scope, schedule and budget definition for new projectsOther duties as assignedEducation/Years of Experience:
Associates degree in design or drafting technology and minimum fifteen (15) years' drafting experience with ten (10) years' focused on independent design assignmentsOther Requirements:
Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priorityProficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skillsBroad level of industry codes, standards and practicesDetailed knowledge and ability to use AutoCAD and AutoCAD-compatible software such as CADWorx Plant and CADWorx P&ID
