required qualifications
for this position are shown below:Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, or another communications-related field, or in a technical field (for example, engineering or science) with extensive additional writing and editing trainingMinimum 10 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specifiedExperience preparing engineering or scientific documents preferredGeneral Responsibilities are:Maintain and complete routine updates of the Akana Style Guide collaboratively with the Corporate Quality Manager, Chief Operations Officer, and Division Vice PresidentsAssist the Corporate Quality Manager in evaluating quality program metrics and key performance indicators related to quality control reviews of written deliverablesProvide routine training to Akana staff on specific aspects of the Akana Style Guide and technical writing good practicesCopyedit documents, including proposals, technical reports, resumes, policies, and other internal and external business material, as requested, to produce high-quality, professional communicationsProofread documents for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and formattingStreamline deliverable processes for authors and technical editors by developing templates that are easy to adapt and applyWrite, edit, or revise supporting content for written products and material prepared by other authorsManage and continuously improve the consistency of technical content and its use across all groups and divisionsIf this sounds like a fit for you, we’d love to talk with you about joining our team.The salary for this position is competitive and based on experience, location, and education.
