Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Regional Market Development Manager to drive the development and implementation of marketing strategies and programs for our diverse range of cell culture, process liquid, production chemicals, peptones, and services.

The candidate in this role will need to work within a highly matrixed organization to develop regional strategy, multi-channel marketing campaigns, and build and lead tactical execution to achieve marketing and revenue targets. This individual should have a strong background in regional or business marketing, with a proven record to optimize marketing efforts by channel and funnel stage and drive alignment with the commercial sales teams.

Key Responsibilities

Own the regional strategies to drive demand for our Biologicals and Chemicals Division (BCD).

Develop sales enablement material and training and return voice-of-sales / voice-of-customer to the business.

Develop a lead generation and sales opportunity funnel from awareness through conversion through promotional initiatives and marketing-led events such as webinars, customer events and tradeshows.

Partner with Global BCD colleagues to provide input to the global strategy, localizing as needed for the NAM region spending a defined percentage of time on each portfolio.

Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, using this information to define marketing strategies.

Deliver monthly reviews of marketing objectives versus plan and produce critical metrics to ensure the achievement of the marketing plan. Proactively optimize programs to exceed targets and address underperformance.

Track and analyze marketing campaign performance, providing insights and recommending improvements to improve marketing efficiency and return on investment.

Stay informed about bioprocessing industry trends, new technologies, and the competitive landscape.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in Bioprocessing, Biology or other life science field.

A degree in Marketing, Communications or Business, with previous work experience in biotechnology, medical devices, or pharmaceutical industry is also acceptable.

PhD, MS and/or MBA are desirable.

Experience

Minimum 6 years of combined experience in marketing and life sciences

Experience in developing marketing campaigns for the biopharma/biotech market segment

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Self-starter and collaborative within project teams, and successful track record working in global, matrix environments, including leading expectations of multiple collaborators across business units and regions

Excellent written and oral communication skills including presentations to senior leadership and large audiences

Outstanding skill leading marketing projects

Strong creative intuition on design and messaging that resonates with customers and an ability to learn from previous campaigns to improve on performance

Develop and deliver presentations and trainings for a wide variety of audiences, including sales teams, regional marketing and customers

Ability to lead project scope, budget and schedule to achieve timely completion of project results

Approximately 25% domestic travel

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $103,100.00–$154,700.00.
