This position can be 100% remote.Dynavax is a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company developing and commercializing novel vaccines to help protect the world against infectious diseases. We operate with the highest level of quality, integrity and safety for the betterment of public health. Our proprietary CpG 1018 adjuvant powers our diversified infectious vaccine portfolio, which includes HEPLISAV-B, our commercial product approved in the U.S. and the European Union, for prevention of hepatitis B virus in adults. We also supply CpG 1018 to research collaborations and partnerships globally. Currently, CpG 1018 is being used in development of COVID-19, plague, shingles, and Tdap vaccines. This position will lead the development and implementation of marketing strategies to support the launch and commercialization of our products.

The Senior Director of Marketing will lead the development and implementation of marketing strategies to support HEPLISAV-B in the US Market inclusive of customer strategies for IDN, retail, public sector, and the broader ecosystemDevelop/communicate a compelling vision and purpose for the brand team; work collaboratively to formulate long-range and mid-term strategies; demonstrate courage in advancing innovative ideas; champion change to enhance organizational performance.Work cross-functionally by partnering with Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Commercial Analytics, Public Relations, and Sales Leadership to drive key strategic initiatives and alignment to accomplish brand deliverables.Evolve and refine brand strategy based on clinical and market insights, and proactively identify key trends and strategies in the market to both internal and external stakeholders.Communicate with key thought leaders in the Ecosystem including HCPs, payers, pharmacists, public stakeholders, patient advocacy groups, industry associations, key scientific opinion leaders, and others to gain actionable insights to strengthen the brand and universal uptake for hepatitis B vaccination.Collaborate with internal colleagues to plan, refine, and execute disease-focused tactics/programs aimed at appropriately driving HEPLISAV-B awareness.Manage vendor/agency activities as required as well as department budget.Comply with all laws, regulations, and policies that govern the conduct of Dynavax activities.Support the organization in maintaining a work environment focused on quality and that fosters respect, learning, open communication, collaboration, integration, and teamwork.Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business, or related field. MBA Preferred.10+ years relevant product marketing experience and 5+ years in field sales management, strategic marketing, and/or thought leaders.Demonstrated leadership skills leading Marketing and Commercial teams and ability to proactively manage complex processes and initiatives.Experience and the desire to work within a fast-paced work environment.Must have proven ability to operate independently, be resourceful and exercise astute business judgment to drive performance.Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written presentation skills.Demonstrated experience in segmentation, targeting, and positioning to lead franchise.Strong analytical and qualitative skills and ability to synthesize and integrate customer insights data, draw conclusions and implications, and translate into comprehensive strategies and business decision recommendations.Experience working effectively and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Must demonstrate knowledge of the US legal-regulatory environment affecting appropriate promotional activities.Proven track record for consistently meeting or exceeding financial and/or other quantitative targets, as well as qualitative goals, for larger-scale product marketing organizations.Position requires travel 25%.Key Competencies: Strategic Agility/Teamwork/Collaboration/Communication/Innovation.Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods; walk; reach with arms and hands; lift and move small objects; and use hands to keyboard and perform other office related tasks including repetitive movement of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.Additional Knowledge and Skills Desired, but not required:

Prior experience leading brand marketing teams with direct reports in a headquarter setting.Vaccine marketing experience is preferred.Experience in pharmaceutical or biotech sales and/or sales management is a plus.The estimated salary range for this position is $260,000 to $287,000. Final pay determinations may depend on various factors, including, but not limited to experience level, education, geographical location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The total compensation package for this position also includes other compensation elements such as stock equity awards and participation in our Company's discretionary annual bonus program.
