Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in English, Journalism, Media, Communications, HCI, or related field.15 years of professional experience, or 13 years with an advanced degree.5 years of experience managing multi-disciplinary content teams, inclusive of content designers, UX writers, or conversational designers.Preferred Qualifications:

Experience leading the content strategy outlook and execution of large scale products with a focus on localization, usability, and accessibility best practices for global content platforms.Experience using UX to influence strategic decision making, communicate strategic concepts, and facilitate understanding.Experience translating ambiguous asks and directions into clear user-centric approaches.Experience fostering divergent design thinking and shepherding radical ideas that can truly evolve products.Curiosity and excellent technical aptitude to understand the global product ecosystem and influence cross-functional stakeholders across and drive scalable content solutions.Responsibilities:

Lead a team of AI model content designers and conversation designers who will partner with other key members of the UX and product team to drive strategy and deliver high quality content at scale.Develop strategies for communicating user insights and scalable content solutions that build conviction and influence strategic decision making.Drive our product content strategy, and identify and articulate opportunities for innovation.Work with UX teams across Google who are integrating Gemini technology into their products to ensure consistency of voice, tone, and writing standards.Communicate and advocate for best practices to executive partners to support the strategic priorities of Gemini.About the Job: Google's mission is to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful. We work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment with team members across Search, Trust and Safety, Policy, Workspace, Android, and Responsible AI.As Principal Director, you will lead the UX/UI and Global Content Design teams working on Gemini. The team is responsible for all user-facing product content in the product, and for improving the model training and response quality for Global Gemini users. You will be an experienced leader with deep knowledge of content design, communication, and relationship building skills with the ability to translate user insights into product and feature development decisions.User experience is at the forefront of how we create intuitive, innovative, and beautiful products that people love.
