We are looking for an experienced and well-rounded Senior Art Director to drive content development and be a part of a dynamic team!

Core Responsibilities

Conceptualize new campaign ideas that are digital-first, shopper-focused, and deliver a premium and memorable experience for shoppers and consumers.

Maintain and enhance design templates for digital content, as well as share and document use of templates and techniques to improve efficiencies across the department

Taking direction from Creative leads and Strategist on the creative brief, create designs across marketing levers and for execution across digital channels

Attend and/or lead brainstorm sessions to develop concept proposals

Develop content that solves business problems and meets marketing objectives with thoughtful tactics and compelling design.

Present content in a clear and compelling manner; articulating and defending creative direction choices; collaborate and iterate based on feedback from cross-functional partners

Collaborate with Project Managers, Strategist, Copywriter, and the Creative team to meet campaign milestones and deliverables

Collaborate with external vendors including illustrators, 3D artists, motion graphics specialists, structural engineers, etc. to ensure the highest level of campaign execution

Communicate and collaborate with UX designers and web developers

Ensure a high standard of visual execution across all work and within all brand guidelines

Stay on top of industry trends, design technology, and new marketing platforms

The Marketing Communications team brings the LEGO Branded Channels marketing strategy to life for shoppers and consumers. The Senior Art Director is responsible for designing and delivering digital content for LEGO Branded Channels. Working with creative direction, you will take leadership of your ideas, solving marketing challenges to ideate and design best-in-class brand expressions and experiences across e-commerce, digital marketing, email, and digital retail.

The ideal candidate approaches projects with creativity and passion backed by insights, has a deep digital mentality, is able to creatively push the boundaries of technology, and understands how to work in a fast-paced global environment.

Do you have what it takes?

Resumes must include a link to an online portfolio showcasing relevant technical and design skills

6+ years of design experience, with at least 1 year of experience art directing internal and external teams

Experience designing for global brands

Expert level skills in: Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects), Sketch, Figma and Microsoft Office.

Proven track record of delivering bold, effective campaign content across digital mediums: e-commerce, broadcast and experiential

Ability to self-direct, context shift, prioritize work assignments

Strong communications skills and an ability to present work thoughtfully and concisely in internal reviews and in partner meetings.

A deep understanding of the creative development process and ability to consistently deliver excellent design based on a working knowledge of what goes into successful marketing campaigns

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multi-discipline teams in other time zones

Experience with agencies preferred

Experience with retail / retailer marketing a plus!

Additional details on this position

The salary for this position has a range of $97,400 - $146,200 USD based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer.

The current work location for this role is 501 Boylston Street, Boston, MA. In 2025, we will transition to our new permanent office location at 1001 Boylston Street, Boston, MA. Specific move dates for roles are to be determined and communicated in 2024.
