PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Research engineering drawings and source documentation provided by technical writers and/or Maintenance Engineers to ensure accurate development of technical illustrations to support the text involved in the preparation of Military manuals and technical publicationsEnsures that Illustrations that are created using Draw and Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator software or board techniques utilize information gained by research of engineering drawings (imported Cad drawings or prints), visual observation of equipment, photographs, and close coordination with Technical Writers and Maintenance EngineersSupports engineering and other staff with decal and data plate production and assists in some preparation of artwork for sales and promotional brochuresKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts, Graphic Design3 – 5 years of equivalent experienceIntermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, Visio3D visualization, Adobe Creative Suite, PTC IsoDraw, UGS NX, Teamcenter Visualization ProfessionalDesktop publishing and graphic design experience, as well as be able to manipulate and extract data from PDF documentsAbility to read blueprints and technical materials/drawingsUnderstanding in the concept and use of Digital Camera equipmentKnowledge of drawing perspectives and anglesBasic mechanical aptitudePHYSICAL EFFORT

Physical Location: This position operates between an office and manufacturing plant environment and is often assigned to a specific shift or hours. The Employee must be able to perform job functions in an environment with varying difficult work conditions such as extreme cold, heat, inclement weather, at heights, and/or while exposed to constant/intermittent loud noisesTeamwork: This position will work with others to ensure efficiency in the workplaceListening Skills: This position will need to understand how to use machinery properly and safely to prevent accidents and ensure all tasks are completed accuratelyAbility to follow instructions: Managers assign tasks and responsibilities, which vary; this position should be able to follow instructions competentlyMethodical approach: Production lines follow a set process, so this position needs a methodical approach to ensure all tasks are completed in the correct order for a smooth-running production lineConcentration: This position may perform the same or similar tasks repeatedly, so a strong level of concentration when carrying out these tasks is important for quality control purposes. This role is often fast paced, so being able to maintain focus at all times is important
