Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an Event Marketing Manager with exceptional event and program management, relationship building, and process development skills. This role will join the AWS Global Integrated Marketing Programs team supporting Event Operations, and will focus on the All Builders Welcome Grant and Field Trip programs at re:Invent and re:Inforce. This is a fast-moving role, requiring strong project management, prioritization, and communication skills. Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and leadership, this role will execute at the highest level, establishing the groundwork to scale.

You are responsible for program excellence, project management, building process, and enablement. You'll take ownership of managing budgets and timelines, collaborating closely with diverse vendor and venue partners. You also utilize exceptional communication skills to manage leadership reviews, stakeholder meetings, and post event debriefs.

The ideal candidate will be will be a self-starter and with an aptitude for project/program management, building relationships, and analytical skills. The candidate has strong collaboration and influencing skills to managing across complex projects and multiple stakeholders. The right candidate should be organized, comfortable establishing clear processes and guidelines, collaborative, be able to write and communicate effectively, and work backwards from the customer.

Key job responsibilities

Manage end-to-end planning and execution of events, campaigns, digital initiatives, branding, logistics, and reporting.

Collaborate cross-functionally to develop program and deliver enablement programs across communication channels.

Build repeatable, scalable processes for continuous improvement of event programs

Analyze program data to evaluate effectiveness and optimize customer experience

Drive and deliver program recap documents and contribute to cadenced business reporting

Think big to deliver new ideas and creative approaches to events that improve the customer experience

A day in the life

In this role, the Event Marketing Manager will turn strategic vision for the All Builders Welcome Grant and Field Trip into reality through project management and continuous optimization - testing, measuring, evolving initiatives while enhancing the program and corresponding campaigns to elevate the overall programs. You will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, participants, and cross-functional teams responsible to deliver on cross program goals. Your exceptional execution skills will ensure the delivery of projected program results, and your creativity and driven mindset will enable the delivery of high-quality, customer-facing events.

This role will join the AWS Global Integrated Marketing Programs team supporting AWS Event Operations. The Event Operations team develops and executes strategies across event logistics, systems, and business processes to create seamless and accessible experiences for all attendees. Our data-driven approach ensures we deliver what customers want, not just what we think they want. As connectors across workstreams and teams, we bridge gaps to align strategy and operational efficiencies. With a global mindset, we create scalable processes that can be adapted for programs worldwide. We are the engine that powers AWS's world-class event experiences.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion

Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data

Preferred Qualifications

Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs

Experience utilizing systems and tools involving email, web, analytics, and CRM (Marketo, Tableau, Salesforce, etc.) for targeting, segmentation, reporting for demand generation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $72,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $155,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
