This role includes working closely with the creative director to assign teams, guiding those teams to consistently produce exceptional concepts and final work, and working closely with account management to ensure that our clients are satisfied with the quality of our creative work, the value of our services, and our responsiveness to their needs.Specifically, the VP, ACD, Copy has the following responsibilities:Creative/Hands-on Work (50%)· Have a strong sense of what culturally resonates with women in the US.· Write and oversee advertising copy for print, broadcast/video, radio, digital/social.· Knowledge of social platforms and how women communicate on them.· Help establish a brand voice.· Review briefs that provide strategic insight and creative inspiration.· Partner with an ACD, Art to produce standout concepts and campaigns.· Come with the organization and dexterity to manage multiple tasks or projects at once.· Help estimate hours for the team.· Participate in client meetings and lead concept presentations.· Attend market research as appropriate.· Understand how to use approved claims, know how to fact check and annotate.· Slay us with your ideas.Management (30%)· Be human.· Help manage workloads to maximize productivity of the copy team.· Work closely with art, editorial and traffic departments to ensure that deadlines and budgets are met.· Provide input on how to improve process, creative output, and workflow for the team.· Provide written and face-to-face feedback for annual performance reviews, and ongoing feedback throughout the year (written when requested).· Identify and interview prospective creative candidates.Leadership (20%)· Develop good relationships with our clients. They’re nice people.· Lead creative teams in development of concepts and execution of all projects.· Ensure copywriters are trained and mentored to maintain the standards and expectations of the agency and the client, and to meet their own career goals.· Demonstrate to clients that you understand their products and marketing challenges and are responsive to the strategic and creative need.· Represent the agency at client meetings and social events as appropriate.· Love advertising. Love what get to do every day.About You:· 10+ years’ agency experience· BA degree (Advertising, Communications, Fine Arts or related field preferred)· A proven track record of creative ability and judgment, successful client contact experience, the ability to work collaboratively with account management, excellent presentation skills, successful experience in managing creative teams and multiple accounts, and the commitment to go the extra mile in time and effort to produce the very best work.Compensation Range: $121,000 - $204,500 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for thisposition at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based onthe skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and theCompany reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
