About the RoleDoorDash is looking for a Senior Director of Design to take on the pivotal role of Head of Product Design for Merchants. In this position, you'll spearhead our talented product design team and leadership, crafting a comprehensive end-to-end experience for our merchants. Through your leadership and vision, you will help DoorDash fulfill its ambition to be the trusted go-to partner for every merchant looking to grow their businesses.

Set the vision for the merchant design, and define the pragmatic milestones to achieve the vision with the cross-functional team
Deeply immerse yourself into the complexity of the merchant design problems, drive meaningful solutions, and make a measurable impact on business
Actively practice and evangelize customer-centric thinking organizationally
Play a strong partner to cross-functional teams like Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Operations to realize the company’s mission
Partner with the design leaders in consumer and driver experiences to build a holistic journey in a three-sided marketplace
Hire the best talents who will raise the bar at DoorDash
Coach and mentor designers on both soft and hard skills and help them develop and achieve career goals
Build a culture that elevates the team, in terms of both performance and morale
Establish the operation model that increases the team’s effectiveness
Align the team’s priorities and deliverables to the company’s overarching strategy and goals
