We want someone who is willing to make Seal a leader not just in smart contracts, but across design. Smart contracts are a new primitive whose potential still isn’t fully understood. Your goal is to unlock that potential. Everything design – the product, logo, mascot, and style guide – will be under your purview. You will help set the product vision with engineering. If we’re right, together we will have fundamentally changed how people interact with finance.ResponsibilitiesUnderstand and articulate the user: know their pain points inside and outSpearhead usability testing to validate your thinkingShip quickly across all projects, not just designDefine the product vision: set, test, and iterate on UI designsCreate fluid user-flows, thoughtful wireframes, effortless prototypes, & stunning UIAssist on high-performance web pagesSolicit feedback early and often, from within the company and outMaintain and extend our design systemsMaintain a high bar of ease of use and customer delightConstruct, grow, and manage the design team over timeMinimum Requirements:Based in the US+3 yrs of product-based UI/UX design primarily focused on a consumer audiencePortfolio of design work demonstrating skill in user research, prototyping/testing, visual design, and design systemsA good understanding of the formal elements of design, not just limited to the web and including typography, layout, balance, and proportionProven ability to collaborate with other disciplinesUnderstanding of web3Preferred QualificationsExperience leading and mentoring othersExperience in JS, HTML, CSSAnimation experienceExperience with A/B testingN.B.
