As VTC Network Engineer, - You will:

Requirements (Must Haves):

Security Clearance Required - PUBLIC TRUST

The program provides a range of IT services, including network support. This position will be responsible for overall network engineering support including planning, designing, and evaluating various components of the network. Duties may includeproviding specifications for network architecture, evaluating, and recommending new technologies to enhance current capabilities, and performing needs assessments. Support level duties may include monitoring, installation, modification, testing and servicing of network equipment.The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the agencies\' Cisco Virtual Teleconference infrastructure supporting mission critical operations, as well as supporting the local area network (LAN) and Wi-Fi, maintaining, and upgrading network infrastructure, including wired and wireless access points.Experience with managing Fortinet Firewall devices is also preferred.Manage, administer, and upgrade the existing Cisco Virtual Teleconference infrastructure, including troubleshooting of performance and other issues with multiple customer organizations.Assist in managing the local area network (LAN) and Wi-Fi, including configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting.Maintain and upgrade network infrastructure, including wireless access points, routers, and switchesManage and administer Fortinet firewalls, including troubleshooting of operational issues as well as implementing planned firewall change requests in compliance with security policies.

Required Qualifications:

BS in computer science or related field degree, from an accredited university and 8 - 12 years of prior relevant experience.Alternatively, MS in computer science or related field degree, from an accredited university with 6 - 10 years of prior relevantexperience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.Minimum 6 years of experience supporting Cisco VTC infrastructureMinimum 6 years in configuring, maintaining, and operating traditional wired networks.Minimum 6 years of configuring, maintaining and operating Wi-Fi networks.Minimum 3 years of configuring, maintaining and operating Fortinet firewallsAbility to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experienceAbility to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writingAbility to work with a large diverse team supporting multiple customers in a shared team environment.Monitor and analyze network logs, alerts, and reports to ensure proactive identification and resolution of network issuesPerform follow-up through system monitoring and communication with users and other support teamsAbility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.Candidate selected will be subject to a Government Public Trust security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to the customer\'s information.

This is a Contract opportunity.

Pay Rate : \$95 -98 Per hour
