The Chicago Red Stars are looking for sports executives eager to shape the next chapter in Chicago women's soccer. We are at a critical inflection point for the Chicago Red Stars, as we work to establish the Chicago Red Stars as a leader in the City, NWSL, and professional women's sports and pave the way for equity and inclusion through sport.

Position DescriptionThe Coordinator, Marketing will support the marketing team in revenue-driving and brand-building efforts across the Club. Specifically focused on owned, earned, and paid strategies, this person will work through internal channels, and day-to-day management of media partners, and execution of other external advertising platforms to reach current fans and prospective audiences.

This individual will be focused primarily on driving club awareness and match attendance and will partner with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to execute marketing campaigns that support Club initiatives based on clearly defined objectives. This person will leverage audience insights, demographics, psychographic, and behavioral data to influence marketing and brand-building tactics. They will be responsible for setting goals and tracking performance across initiatives and helping the organization optimize the media and marketing mix over time based on insights and effectiveness.

Primary Responsibilities

Support the entire lifecycle of Chicago Red Stars marketing campaigns from goal setting, to planning, implementation, and evaluationResponsible for media buying (direct and through our media agency) and optimization of our paid media approach.Partner with internal digital and social media leads on utilizing owned and operated marketing channels to achieve campaign goals.Partner with the creative team on the design, development, and distribution of creative assets that drive engagement, interest, and action among our key audiences.Lead email marketing planning, development, and distribution.Manage communication among internal stakeholders to ensure clarity and alignment on core objectives, audiences, strategies, channels, timelines, budgets, deliverables, etc. throughout the project lifecycle.Leverage data, market insights, marketing tools, and the spectrum of marketing channels (owned, earned, and paid) to help develop and execute impactful strategic recommendations and see them through to completion.Support department in day-to-day marketing operations.Ability to attend home matches and provide additional game day support to event or marketing staff as needed.Desired Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, preferably in communications or marketing, or an additional 2 years of equivalent experience in marketing in lieu of a degreeA background in, and passion for, soccer, sports, and/or entertainment is a plusA strong understanding of how all facets of the marketing mix affect consumer motivation and bring about the desired actionsStrong project management, meeting management, multitasking, and organizational skills is a mustMedia planning and buying experience or exposure is a plusMetrics-driven mind, comfortable utilizing data to inform decisions and actionsExcellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.Skill in MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)Skills in PhotoShop, Illustrator, and/or InDesign are a plusFamiliarity with project management tools such as AsanaResourceful, with a test-and-learn mentalityCommunicates quickly and efficiently to keep projects on track.Strong relationship building with internal and external stakeholdersPersonal accountability and ownershipAble and willing to work non-traditional hours including evenings, weekends & holidays.
