Your Role

As a Gensler

Technical Designer , you will collaborate with our design team to develop innovative design solutions as well as coordinate the design through the construction documentation phase of a project. You will be successful because you already know how to translate an architect's sketches and documents into realized 2D/3D models and images and can research artistic and/or technical issues when they arise. As a member of our Cities studio, you will leverage your industry experience and technical acumen to drive client projects from concept through build, while cultivating client relationships within Critical Facilities, Government & Defense, and Aviation. What You Will Do

Work with the Design Director(s) and project team(s) on conceptual designs, presentations, design development, and productionResolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutionsParticipate in all project phases, including conceptual designs, presentations, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and productionCollaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies, and other vendors to meet overall project objectivesProduce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawingsAssist in managing client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordinationContribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programsYour Qualifications

Professional B.A or M.A. degree in architecture or related field10+ years of related project experienceBasic knowledge or interest in Critical Facilities, Government & Defense, and Aviation.Proficiency in RevitBeginning knowledge of relevant building codes and accessibility requirementsFlexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of developmentAbility to communicate design ideas and direction quicklyA quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environmentStrong leadership, organization, communication, and relationship management skillsWorking toward State licensure and LEED accreditation is a plus
