The Art Outsource Manager will work closely with both the Art Leadership Team and the Production Team to successfully execute on both existing and new IP projects.If the responsibilities and requirements are a good match to your background, we want to hear from you!ResponsibilitiesSupport one or more Velan Studios projects’ art outsourcing efforts.Act as the primary communication point between Velan Studios and external art outsource groups.Help maintain a strong creative relationship and manage asset workflows between internal art team and external outsource groups.Work closely with project Art Leads to collate and deliver detailed asset documentation and feedback to external outsource groups, as well as ensure the art quality is consistent and cohesive with the projects’ art direction.Work with the development team to generate detailed asset production documentation for entire art sets, gather reference, work with concept artists, and provide benchmark assets from production.Partner with other Production Team members to ensure Outsourced Art deliveries integrate successfully into the project execution plans.Maintain schedules and work with external groups to meet these schedules.Apply art pipeline processes and engine requirements to support the external vendors.Provide communication & technical support to external groups for Velan Art Pipelines, if necessary.Manage vendor invoice approvals.Manage the prioritization of tasks, iteration, and deliverables.Anticipate and address potential problems like resource blockers, quality concerns, and scope changes.
Communicate effectively to ensure these problems are resolved quickly.Requirements1+ years managing external Art Outsource teams as part of a mid to large-scale game development process.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Strategic and tactical problem-solving skillsExceptional and thoughtful communication skills, both written and verbal.Knowledge of 2D and 3D game art production, tools, and pipelinesAbility to create, track, and maintain schedules across multiple teams or sub-teams.Demonstrated ability to be successful in technical environments.Big plussesExperience with Jira for task management and bug tracking; including database setup, organization, and maintenance.A background in 3D Art, with deep knowledge of 3D asset creation techniques, tools, and workflows.A passion for making and playing great games, with an awareness of current titles and industry trends.PMP Certification.The salary for this position is typically within the range specified below* per year. Please note that the actual base pay may vary based on factors such as your qualifications, skills, experience, and other relevant considerations. In addition to your salary, our comprehensive compensation package includes various perks, such as potential annual bonuses (though they are not guaranteed), health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and flexible time-off benefits.This range covers associate-mid level salary ranges: *$75,000.-$105,000.We're thrilled that you're considering joining our team.
