The Graphic Designer is responsible for collaborating and designing creative materials for GEHA brand and products to support Growth goals, including acquisition and retention of subscribers, and other organizational initiatives. Partner with colleagues on the creative team to translate business objectives into creative solutions in all tactics, with an emphasis on direct response best practices across print, digital, direct mail, and other forms of promotion. This position ensures adherence to GEHA brand guidelines in all materials and intakes and works with feedback and input in an agile team environment.

SKILLS

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create effective designs for creative materials based on business goals, audience behaviors and best practices, with a focus on ensuring final creative has an intent. Brainstorm ideas and collaborate with team members.Stay current of and incorporate best practices and up-to-date conventions in all matters of advertising.Follows creative team process, utilizes brand guidelines, and works within project management software while communicating progress and status to others on the project.Supports other creatives on team in developing print, digital, direct mail, and other forms of creative materials.Participates in peer-reviews of designs within the team to ensure quality and adherence to standards.Performs related, other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in graphic design preferred; additional years of qualifying work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.3+ years of direct work experience as a designer, client/agency, or a hybrid of both.A design portfolio showing both print and digital work experience; with a focus on execution/implementation of campaigns or versioning.Strong Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office products.Understand application of brand guidelines in creative materials.Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Knowledge of designing creative materials that adhere to accessibility standards like 508 compliances.Ability to partner with other designers, copywriters, and business owners to ideate and create solutions.Solid organizational and critical thinking skills, diligence, and ability to multi-task.Continued exploration knowledge of current and upcoming technologies.PREFERRED

Health Payer or Healthcare Insurance experience with an understanding of creative process in that arena, specifically direct response marketing that will engage members and prospects.Work-at-home requirements

Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. GEHA considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.

The annual base salary range for this position is $61,918 - $87,282 USD.
