Description
Essential Functions:Create jacquard fabrics with assistance.Be familiar with targeted market segment and/or customer base.Knowledge of weaves and ability to create weaves.Ability to conceptualize artwork to fabric constructions.Recognition of constructions, warps, and fillings.Formulate vision for style and trends with assistance.Learning economy of development.
Other Requirements:Maintain and meet scheduled deadlines.Attend design meetings, markets and trade shows as required.Assure quality by enforcing and following ISO-9000 work instructions and standards.
Safety:Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers.Report all job-related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards.Maintain 5S standards.PPE as Required by policy and guidelines.
Position RequirementsQualifications:Meet all pre-employment requirements.Basic reading, writing, and math skills as required by the position.Good communication skills with the ability to work well with others in a team environment.Ability to use CAD system, Google Suite and SAP.College degree preferred in Textiles, Interior Design or Related Design/Art..
