What You'll Do

Spotter is seeking a Director, Lifecycle Marketing. In this role, you will contribute to Spotter's growth by leading the lifecycle marketing strategy with a focus on converting new subscribers and driving engagement of our subscriber base to maximize lifetime value. You will be responsible for building out and executing the strategy across all channels including email, SMS, in-app and push notifications. The ideal candidate will have a consistent track record of delivering measurable growth through testing and optimization, and a strong foundation in the DTC space. This candidate should be data-driven and impact-oriented, with attention to detail and the ability to iterate quickly.
  • CRM Tool Integration: Identify preferred CRM tools and systems and work with Product and Engineering teams to implement them.
  • Lifecycle Strategy & Execution: Define the omni-channel CRM vision to increase subscriber acquisition and upgrades, grow subscriber engagement retention, and reduce churn.
  • Develop a data-driven lifecycle strategy and approach (including defining KPIs) and manage the execution of that strategy to reach ambitious goals.
  • Customer Journey Mapping and Segmentation: Apply detailed customer segmentation and leverage marketing automation tools to deliver personalized and hyper-targeted customer marketing journeys.
  • Test and learn: Develop a rigorous testing strategy (A/B and multivariate tests) to continually optimize different stages of the customer journey. Monitor and evaluate campaign results across all channels to understand the efficacy of strategies and tactics for improving conversion, engagement and retention.
  • Content Strategy: Craft messaging that clearly articulates the value provided by Spotter's SaaS product and how subscribers (creators) can reach their goals on our platform.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with the Product and Analytics teams to identify key opportunities to improve our acquisition, activation, and engagement mechanisms, as well as with the Brand/Creative team to ensure consistent messaging across all of our channels.

Who You Are
  • 7+ years of lifecycle marketing experience, including a proven track record of designing and executing successful lifecycle marketing strategies with measurable results.
  • Experience building customer journeys across consumer SaaS or subscription products.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Knowledge of and passion for the creator economy, especially YouTube content.
  • Strong customer focus, instinct, and passion.
  • Prior content marketing or copywriting experience; creative mindset with the ability to develop engaging and personalized content.
  • Analytical and quantitative skills to interpret and derive meaning from data and optimize campaign performance.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with an ability to balance and effectively prioritize numerous projects and initiatives.
  • Expertise in customer segmentation, omnichannel strategies, A/B testing, marketing automation and martech solutions.
  • Proven ability to seamlessly oscillate between 30,000 foot view strategy and the details of design, messaging and execution.
  • Strong communication/interpersonal skills; able to successfully build cross-functional relationships.
  • Expertise in email compliance and privacy legislation, both domestic and international (specifically: CAN-SPAM; GDPR; CCPA).

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in Culver City. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current pay range is: $100K-$500K salary per year. The range listed is just one component of Spotter's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual discretionary bonus and equity.
