A Day in the Life

The

Global Marketing Manager

provides effective marketing management of social programs, focused on equitable device performance, to solidify lasting market differentiation of products, brand, and clinical impact of the blood oxygen management franchise. The candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial marketing, including competencies in: clinical and technical value assessment, meaningful content generation, and thought leadership programs to build and execute a commercial strategy that drives top line revenue.

The

Global Marketing Manager

will be responsible for the ongoing strategy to reduce disparities in care through equitable device performance where they will translate market, clinical, and technical knowledge into tangible outputs including robust written and visual content, clear messaging, prioritizing partnership/speaking opportunities, fostering advocates, PR planning, customer engagements, and sales enablement tools.

The

Global Marketing Manager

must be detail-oriented and self-motivated, with strong cross-functional team collaboration capabilities, and excellent communication skills (both oral and written). The Global Marketing Manager will report to the Blood Oxygen Management Global Marketing Director, Acute Care Monitoring.

Acute Care Monitoring is based in Boulder, Colorado. This role is open to remote within the United States for exceptionally qualified candidates.

Ability to think strategically and participate actively in decisions using internal and external data, promote cross-functional collaboration, deliver unified messaging, expand thought leadership, and presentations to senior management.

STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT & EXECUTION

Development of key commercial market strategies, including barrier management strategies, competitive strategies, launch strategies, branding, and support of regional campaigns.

Works with cross-functional teams, with input from Regional marketing partners to develop, communicate and execute PM marketing plan, including any campaign and product launch support.

Ensures proper segmentation of target audience and unique value proposition is identified and resonates with customer segment.

Responsible for timely and frequent communications to the Regional Marketing teams on best practices, implementation strategies and tactics to increase brand awareness.

Creates relevant sales and marketing assets as needed, collaborates with digital marketing team on strategy and execution, including demand generation campaigns and website development, digital asset development.

Works in conjunction with entire Patient Monitoring Global Marketing team to align strategy with evolving healthcare dynamics in the global marketplace.

MARKET KNOWLEDGE & DEVELOPMENT

With media outlets, clinical observations, society engagements, expert discussions: understand societal and clinical positions, language, actions, and objectives.

With market research, competitive intelligence: keep abreast of key market drivers, trends and changes in the competitive & commercial landscape.

Understand technology in literature, clinical use, market-fit, and laboratory testing

Participate in industry technical meetings, standards committees and conferences to represent Patient Monitoring interests and identify opportunities for differentiation.

Maintain contact with global customers and regional marketing partners to stay abreast of changing customer needs.

Collaborates with Global Marketing & Medical Affairs to develop and commercialize clinical/economic evidence.

CAMPAIGN DEVELOPMENT & LAUNCH

Works within organization to develop campaign objectives, priorities, messaging, content, and key metrics

Support integrated marketing plan and execution as well as support agency partner direction and progress

Develop and support engaging assets and content to drive thought leadership

Responsible for development of project budgets and control of spend within approved levels

TRAINING

Partners with Global Sales Training department to develop and implement sales training curriculum and content for Regional teams

Partner with Customer training – Work with Global Sales Training and Professional Clinical Education (i.e. PACE) to develop and implement product training, in-servicing & clinical education programs

• Global travel approximately 25%

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Bachelors degree required

Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience

Nice to Have

Thorough understanding of executional aspects of marketing: Advertising and promotion program management, segmentation and positioning, content management systems

Experience with health equity initiatives or social impact programs

Working understanding of financial documents- Income statements, expense budgeting, financial decision-making methods

Working knowledge of clinical care settings

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Strategic agility and structured thinking, intellectual curiosity is a must. Ability to generate helpful data and turn detailed and obscure data analyses into succinct, useful strategic insight.

Ability to develop and see big picture vision yet remain grounded in what we can execute to get there

Ability to achieve results by working cross-functionally and collaboratively across a matrix organization, including scoping and managing projects with cross-business unit teams.

Self-starter, comfortable taking initiative and leading/project managing multiple projects at once.

Strong written and oral communications.

Strong project management skills and tangible experience achieving results.

A solid understanding of the healthcare continuum across the globe.

Naturally curious with a demonstrated track record of learning and using that knowledge to advance the business goals.

Experience with asset management tools and process such as Workfront and Veeva

Experience within the Monitoring / Respiratory industry

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$128,800.00 - $193,200.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
