We are seeking a talented UX content strategist and copywriter/editor to join the Digital Product Design team at Ford Motor Company. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing content strategies that help create world-class experiences for Ford customers, both in vehicles and on our connected platforms. This role will also be responsible for coordinating workflows with development teams and subject matter experts, as well as organizing and indexing technical information to create a comprehensive source of truth for the Human-Machine Interface (HMI) in Ford vehicles.

A role to grow in: while the content organization and copy-editing tasks will be primary, there will be ample opportunity to execute technical copywriting and be mentored by senior UX strategist copywriters with decades of experience.

What you'll do…

The ideal candidate will work under experienced Copy & Content team leadership and support the Design DNA & Orchestrated Experience center of excellence within Digital Product Design by:

Collaborating with UX designers, product managers, and other stakeholders to create and execute content strategies that align with business goals and user needs

Developing and write clear, concise, and compelling copy for a variety of digital platforms, including in-vehicle, connected apps and web-based experiences

Organizing and index technical information to create a comprehensive source of truth for the HMI in Ford vehicles

Communicating with subject matter experts to gather information and ensure accuracy of technical content

Leveraging research and insights to inform content decisions and ensure that content is user-centered

Ensuring that content is consistent with Ford's brand voice and style guidelines

Using data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of content and make recommendations for improvements

Staying up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in UX content strategy and writing

You'll have…

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English (or a related field), or educational /experience equivalent.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in UX copy editing/writing and content management, preferably in an agency or corporate setting

Strong copy editing and writing skills with the ability to understand and summarize technical features in simple terms

Experience with content management systems and digital publishing tools

Understanding of UX design principles and ability to collaborate effectively with UX designers

Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply human-centric design principles to content decisions
