Wondery is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Sr. Marketing Manager will lead the strategic planning of the podcasts fostering long term relationships with our customers and fueling fandom. The right candidate is a heavy podcast listener with an eclectic background, diverse marketing experience, and passion for content marketing. This position will work with internal content producers and several high-profile podcast hosts, producers, and creators. Demonstrated proficiency in stakeholder management and crafting effective marketing strategies is essential. While direct podcast marketing experience is advantageous, a deep passion for podcasts is imperative. This role will collaborate closely with Content, Ad Sales, PR, and Franchise teams to launch and grow company-wide properties that further cement Wondery’s leadership position in the space.

Key job responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of campaigns and plans for the launch of new podcasts developed for different audiences and genres including lifestyle, history, and others.

Compile comprehensive pre-launch and post-campaign analysis and reports.

Work closely with the Franchise team to build comprehensive plans that unlock the potential of revenue generation, franchise expansion, and audience development with new and existing content (History Tellers).

Serve as the point of contact for key content initiatives (new podcasts and episodes, tentpoles, key product launches).

Collaborate with Content and Production Partners to articulate strategic objectives and guidelines, and enforce adherence company-wide.

Foster and maintain close relationships with all internal and external partners to bridge communications and facilitate issue resolution between Creative, Marketing, Legal, Business Affairs, Finance, Production teams

Manage the relationships with partners and creators of Lifestyle and History podcasts.

Partner with the Research and Analytics teams to generate actionable insights and a deep understanding of the customers part of the segment.

Provide transparency on all cross-business IP activities and provide progress updates to business partners and leadership.

Monitor competitive landscape and market conditions for the segment.

Basic Qualifications

6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs

Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

Preferred Qualifications

Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners

Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint

Highly proficient in relationship, partner, and stakeholder management.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
