Supervisor of Art Design

is responsible for supervising and leading the art department by planning, creating, designing, monitoring, and troubleshooting the company artwork, including branding and production, client's new designs and artwork, and variable data. Responsible for training and development of the Art team members. The SCS will manage a team of graphic designers and specialists in project specifications and timelines for the entire Art team. They will work closely with the Leadership team, Client Service Manager (Program Managers), and Sales and Production teams to support all phases of work to ensure quality and consistency.ResponsibilitiesDetermines focus on rebranding, logo creation imaging, item updates, and custom orders. Acts as liaison to the corporate account team, executes problem-solving, and provides solutions that are then cascaded to the team.Oversees portion of Art communication & projects, ensuring each piece adheres to brand standards and is accurate and effective. This means reviewing and approving high-volume projects/tasks each week to ensure team output is the best it can be before being shared with internal and external customers.Collaborating with Supervisor Production Art to ensure that work can flow through both teams. Modifying tasks of direct reports as needed to support project deadlines.Provide thought leadership and perspective on design best practices and take a diligent approach in ensuring the Art team receives the professional development they need to remain competitive in their field(s).Managing the performance of team members through performance reviews and active coaching. Partnering with human resources on employee changes and documentation of discipline.Research and stay up to date with the latest advancements in areas of technology that may impact our business. Routinely present findings and alternative ways to achieve deliverables that optimize time and reduce costs.

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent.3-5 years of experience managing and mentoring a mid-size team of designers.Managing heavy project volume while meeting established production timelines.Working collaboratively with Client Services Managers, Leadership, Production and Sales teams.Current working knowledge of both print and digital Art design.Creative direction and constructive design critique.Fluent understanding and usage of Adobe Creative Suite.Fluent understanding and usage of project management tools.Demonstrated working knowledge of color theory and relationships.Knowledge of print production process, techniques, and correct file prepping procedure.
