A crucial aspect of our mission is to drive adoption of our self-service, cost-per-click advertising products, empowering Small and Mid-size Business (SMB) advertisers to engage with customers in a meaningful way. Our team’s goal is to simplify product advertising for sellers, vendors, and authors to advertise their products, enhancing product visibility and helping Amazon customers discover a wider selection of products in the Amazon store — a win-win.

We are looking for a seasoned business leader for our Sponsored Products (SP) Global SMB Marketing team to lead multiple large cross-functional programs, defining the vision and strategies to drive demand for the SMB customers globally by helping them grow their business through SP. In this role, you are accountable for identifying needle moving opportunities and setting the direction for your team to drive significant business impact, while building effective partnership cross-functionally to deliver. You are able to define both short and long-term vision and strategy, set objectives, drive improvements that are quantified with metrics, and influence and drive large initiatives across internal/external and engineering/science teams to enhance the customer experience.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of building and leading a high-performing team of business and content marketers to solve customers needs and drive impact. You will have extensive experience leveraging data for decision making and, developing innovative programs and strategies to achieve business goals. You operate from a customer-first perspective to understand user journeys and identify opportunities to improve the customer experience, collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive programs, are able to influence product roadmaps, and exhibit a willingness to go the extra mile. You proactively identify and mitigate risks (before they become roadblocks), and you demonstrate good judgment in how and when to escalate (without damaging relationships).

To be successful you’ll need to be a strong communicator who can earn trust with senior leaders and key stakeholders across multiple teams. You are comfortable with ambiguity and complex challenges, and are willing to work autonomously, handling multiple initiatives simultaneously and prioritizing accordingly to contribute to ambitious growth plans. Basic Qualifications

10+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

Experience managing teams

Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams

Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, or other related area

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $140,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $232,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
