The Opportunity

Nutanix is looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to lead product marketing for Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2), Nutanix’s public cloud deployment offering. NC2 enables deployment of workloads in the public cloud like Azure and AWS on the same Nutanix Cloud Platform as on-premises, with natively integrated networking between private and public clouds. It enables seamless application migration and license portability across all environments and enables customers to run the full Nutanix software stack anywhere, as well as drive consistency in operational and security policies and processes across different types of clouds. This is an opportunity to lead the growth of an extremely strategic product that is integral to the company's overall strategic direction.

In this role, you will be responsible for overall marketing strategy for NC2 including positioning and messaging, campaigns and tactics, content creation and publishing, sales enablement, and cross-functional collaboration to drive planning and execution in a rolling 90-day window on a weekly basis. You will also work closely with partner marketing teams to drive joint marketing activities with Microsoft, AWS, and other partners. You will lead from the front and be a spokesperson for the product at events, EBXs, webinars as well as internally for enablement.

You will report to our Senior Director of Strategic Marketing and have the opportunity to work remotely. At Nutanix, we value flexibility and productivity, so you can structure your workday in a way that suits you best. While there is no strict requirement to go into the office daily, occasional in-person meetings or team gatherings may be scheduled to foster collaboration and team bonding.

There are some travel requirements associated with this role, including attending events related to NC2 and occasionally participating in Executive Briefing Exchanges (EBXs). On average, you can expect to take 1-2 trips every quarter, allowing you to engage with clients, partners, and industry events to expand your network and contribute to the team's success.

Your Role

Strategy and Messaging

Translate NC2 business goals into marketing goals and drive consensus on these across the marketing and cross-functional stakeholders

Own the messaging framework for NC2, including key value propositions, use cases, customer persona and pain points, and more

Help define key news moments around NC2 and hybrid cloud capabilities and the value they bring to our customers; drive amplification around these

Participate in ELT-level QBRs, reporting on NC2 marketing metrics and lead discussion on progress

Organize, coordinate, and drive demand generation planning and execution with multiple marketing and product teams (field marketing, partner marketing, campaigns, programs, events, digital)

Subject Matter Expertise and Content Creation

Develop expertise about the product, the market, and related industry and competitor news and trends and be a knowledge resource for internal teams (including sales, field marketing, and other marketing teams).

Create and review content including blogs, white papers, analyst papers, infographics, videos, datasheets, web pages and tools, and more; as well as review NC2-related content being created across the company to ensure correct messaging, voice, and alignment with product capabilities

Maintain repository and tracking for NC2 content, and maintain NC2 related events and content calendar, customer reference tracking, etc.

Be a prominent spokesperson for the product in webinars, at events, as well as partner and internal enablement sessions. Be the single point of contact for all other marketing and sales teams for customer-facing, partner-facing or internal-facing activities around NC2

Bring the customer perspective in to marketing materials to maximize impact of marketing activities

What You Will Bring

10+ years of product marketing experience in the datacenter infrastructure market

Strong domain expertise in cloud solutions and products, as well as an understanding of hyperconverged infrastructure and virtualization

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science (or equivalent experience) , MBA preferred

Strong desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic start-up environment

Ability to think and work strategically, but also execute as an individual contributor

Proven track record in supporting worldwide sales teams meet revenue goals

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong exec comms skills, and polished presentation abilities

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 146,880 and USD $ 293,880 per year.

However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
