Job Summary

The primary role of the Marketing Events Manager is to manage conferences and trade shows in a way that will expand brand awareness, generate new leads, and drive business meetings. They will be responsible for working with internal stakeholders to identify potential conferences, execute conference logistics, and ensure post-conference success. They will work with internal and external teams to write and submit conference applications, manage the creation of digital and print marketing assets, execute email campaigns, and other strategic initiatives to ensure conference success. The role will require strong verbal and written communications skills, excellent project management skills, and attention to accuracy and detail.

Essential Job Functions

Identify potential conferences that will increase company brand awareness for prospective target audiences.

Interpret timely industry and marketplace topics to integrate into conference initiatives.

Work with internal stakeholders to submit conference and trade show applications.

Identify and execute booth strategies that will generate new leads and drive business meetings.

Coordinate conference logistics with internal speakers and executives, public relations, vendors, and marketing department.

Manage the creation of digital and print marketing assets to be utilized at conferences and trade show booths.

Support sales teams with local conferences.

Other projects, including potential webcast and live event tasks as needed.

Occasional travel will be required, and travel may increase over time.

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of marketing experience.

Associate’s Degree or higher

Preferred Skills and Experience

BA/BS in business, marketing, hospitality, or related field.

2+ years of conference and trade show experience.

Strong verbal, written, and communication skills.

Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.

Strong attention to accuracy and detail with a track record of operational excellence.

Bias for action, a pattern of achievement, energy, motivation, and is not afraid to get out of their comfort zone to learn something new or solve a problem.

Exceptional time management and planning skills and the ability to prioritize with minimal oversight.

Ability to quickly adapt to changes in priorities.
