Marketing Statement

Metro is hiring for a Senior Digital Marketing Manager to join the Marketing department, that will be responsible for developing online marketing strategies that drive ridership and brand affinity. Responsibilities include managing and executing Metro's digital marketing campaigns, crafting the user experience for each campaign, providing reporting and analysis on channel performance and implementing the tools and platforms needed to evolve to omni-channel marketing, starting first with email marketing. The incumbent collaborates closely with internal stakeholders, agencies, and vendors to optimize performance across both paid and owned marketing channels.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of digital marketing and marketing automation tools, website analytics platforms, and social media strategy. They should possess a solid understanding of best practices in web design and user experience assessments, along with experience in developing Google Analytics reports, creating dashboards, and performing in-depth analyses.

Additionally, the candidate should be a proven strategic thinker, a consensus builder, and possess strong business, analytical, and leadership skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential to clearly articulate ideas, frame challenges, highlight opportunities, and offer solutions. Minimum Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field

Experience

Minimum of eight (8) years of digital marketing experience, ideally with a Business-to-Consumer (B2C) brand, to include three (3) years of supervisory experience

Certification/Licensure

N/A

Preferred

Master’s degree in Marketing or related field

Job Summary

The Senior Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing online marketing strategies that drive revenue and traffic to wmata.com. Key activities include managing and executing Metro’s digital marketing campaigns, crafting the user experience for each campaign, providing regular reporting and analysis on channel performance and implementing the tools and platforms needed to evolve to omni-channel marketing. The incumbent works closely with internal stakeholders, agencies and other vendors to maximize performance across paid and owned marketing channels.

Essential Functions

Works closely with marketing leadership team to define and execute digital marketing strategies.

Directs selection of and manages relationships with digital marketing vendors and marketing technology platforms and/or solutions to support omnichannel marketing.

Recommends, implements and optimizes campaigns, tactics and practices to meet/exceed strategic objectives across SEO, paid search, display, and email.

Oversees delivery of timely and accurate data/reports on campaign results and optimizations to direct future campaign strategy.

Develops campaign tracking and/or tag management strategy and processes, leverages marketing technology platforms and/or vendors to optimize data collection of consumer responses to digital marketing initiatives.

Identifies and tests emerging web and mobile-based technologies, digital advertising channel opportunities and industry trends and best practices.
