The Role
Firsthand is looking for an outstanding product designer who will be responsible for researching, designing, and prototyping new user experiences that satisfy the needs of the broad set of users interacting with our cutting-edge technology. This role will be an opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional leaders, particularly in Product Management and Engineering, to deliver novel design experiences tailored for the AI landscape.
ResponsibilitiesConstruct detailed interaction and design specs using a blend of interaction design, visual design, and prototyping skillsBring designs from conceptualization, through iteration, to implementation, ensuring design consistency across assets and productsProduce data-informed designs that account for business needs and technical requirementsNavigate through ambiguity and change to collaboratively drive alignment and prioritization with cross-functional teammatesQualifications
Bachelor's degree in design, computer science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience5+ years of experience in digital product design, with 3+ years working on solutions that include complex technologiesStrong foundation in design principles, proficient at extending design patterns across products in a creative and resourceful manner with an attention to detailProblem solver with the ability to create simple and intuitive user experiences from complex workflowsExcellent communicator able to influence decision-making within cross-functional teamsHow to Apply
