This Opportunity

WSP USA Inc. has a unique opportunity for a Graphic Designer II to be part of our Strategic Growth Team supporting the development of Construction Management pursuits. The position will ideally be located in Dallas or Austin, Texas; St. Louis, Missouri; Tempe, Arizona; Irvine, California; or Portland, Oregon. Other locations within the United States may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Reporting to the Senior Graphic Designer and working in close collaboration with the Senior Marketing Manager of Construction Management, the Graphic Designer will be in an excellent position to learn critical skills in design and visual storytelling in long-form documents as well as presentations. The position will also integrate with a high-performing, supportive team of graphic design peers, marketing managers and coordinators across the nation, as well as strategy development staff responsible for securing some of the largest infrastructure projects in the U.S.

Your Impact

PROPOSALS

Work with proposal teams supporting the art direction of highly-polished, long-form document layout and graphics development, creating a strong visual identity that engages the reader and translates complex technical information

Participate and contribute to storyboarding and strategy sessions for custom graphicsSupport production of printed proposals and materials, which may include custom binders, tabs/dividers, etc.

PRESENTATIONS

Work with marketing and technical teams to distill technical information into cohesive visual presentations, including the development of highly-polished PowerPoint slides

Support production of printed presentation materials, including large-scale boards, banners, and leave-behinds

GENERAL

Accountable and responsible for meeting multiple, concurrent deadlines through utilization of organizational and time management skills, and following through on commitments with attention to detail to efficiently meet deadlines

Use graphic design principals such as color, form, and balance to create original design concepts that inform and engage technical and non-technical audiences across a variety of digital and print platforms

Maintain brand consistency, as appropriate, based upon the assignment

Maintain knowledge of and proficiency with the latest technologies and trends in the graphic design environment, which may require researching and employing new software technology and design/development techniques

Support other miscellaneous graphics needs as they arise, including brochures, social media posts, etc.

Required Qualifications

1 or more years of experience in graphic design (preferably long-form documents like reports and/or proposals in the AEC [or similar] industry).

Bachelor’s Degree in Art, Graphic Design, Communications (with a graphics emphasis), or related field.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign — creating templates, and understanding proper use/application of styles, etc., and proficiency with Illustrator and Photoshop is also essential), as well as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc).

Strong design sense and creativity with integration of color, typography, photography and illustrative graphic elements

Compensation:

Expected Salary (all locations): $57,400 - $94,710

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.

Expected Salary (Colorado only): $57,400 - $88,880
