The Opportunity-Centric Marketing Director will lead innovative marketing efforts to support the capture and successful closing of high-priority pursuits across SAIC. The Director will be responsible for defining and successfully implementing the strategy and related processes to establish the Opportunity-Centric capability within the corporate marketing team.

You are a team player with an entrepreneurial spirt that thrives in fast-paced environments that demand attention to detail and creative problem solving. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to managing creative aspects of proposals, facilitating messaging workshops and managing bespoke marketing campaigns, while fostering strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external agency partners. Your expertise in B2B and B2G marketing, project management, and strategic leadership will play a key role in shaping our success and driving impactful results. This position reports to the Senior Director, Customer-Centric Marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

Define the vision, strategy and goals (short term and long term) for Opportunity Centric Marketing in collaboration with the Sr. Director, Customer-Centric Marketing

Work closely with Business Development, Account Leadership and other cross-functional teams to enhance proposal effectiveness.

Facilitate workshops to identify key buyer insights and develop differentiated messaging, including value propositions.

Lead the development and execution of marketing campaigns, including messaging development, channel strategies and measurement plans.

Oversee creative aspects of proposal design, content/presentation development and speaker effectiveness.

Work across marketing & communications team and manage relationships with external agency partners to ensure the delivery of high-quality marketing materials and presentations.

Create standardized operating processes and ways of working with an eye towards innovation and best practices. Identify ways to improve marketing effectiveness and efficiency, and approaches to scale as needed.

Build and maintain strong relationships across multi-functional teams, helping them understand new processes and getting feedback for continuous improvement. Coach and develop team members.

Develop and manage budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources for maximum impact.

Stay informed on customer insights, industry trends and competitive activities to inform marketing strategies.

Make recommendations on marketing technology and tools to optimize marketing effectiveness.

Track, measure, and report on plan performance, using insights to optimize strategies continually.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or related field.

Minimum of 15 years of experience within marketing, with extensive experience in B2B and B2G environment.

Strong collaborator with proven ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders and external agency partners.

Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic marketing plans.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

Strong executive presence with exceptional communication and presentation skills.

Ability to manage multiple pursuits and stakeholders across various timelines.

Experience with opportunity centric marketing methodologies.

Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to develop team.

Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms, including CRM systems and marketing automation.

Preferred Skills:

Master’s degree in Marketing or an MBA.

Industry-specific (B2G) knowledge relevant to the company's field.

Experience in digital marketing tactics and analytics.

Experience in facilitating workshops and other collaborative sessions.

Advanced project management skills and experience in marketing operations.
