We are looking for a Corporate Communications Director to add to our talented team. The Corporate Communications Manager will oversee all aspects of MacKay Sposito's communications strategy, both external and internal. This role involves developing and implementing strategic communication plans, managing public relations and media interactions, and fostering employee engagement through effective internal communications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in communications, exceptional writing skills, and a proven track record of managing corporate communications. Key Responsibilities:

External Communications:

Develop and implement a comprehensive communications plan aligned with the company’s brand identity and core messages.

Monitor media coverage and industry trends, adjusting communication strategies to maintain industry leadership.

Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of communication strategies, making data-driven adjustments to enhance reach and engagement.

Prepare and distribute press releases to highlight significant company milestones, such as major hires and groundbreaking projects.

Manage the company’s public relations activities to enhance its reputation and establish its position as an industry leader.

Coordinate with external consultants to manage the company's brand and messaging across various media platforms.

Handle crisis communications, providing clear and immediate responses to mitigate potential impacts on the company’s reputation.

Collaborate with business development and project teams to create content that communicates the positive impact of our projects on communities.

Develop compelling stories that highlight the company’s contributions to the community.

Internal Communications:

Develop and implement internal communication strategies to keep employees informed, engaged, and motivated.

Monitor the effectiveness of internal communications through surveys and feedback mechanisms, and adjust strategies to improve information flow and employee satisfaction.

Organize regular company-wide updates to facilitate open communication and strengthen corporate culture.

Work with Human Resources to create and distribute internal communications to celebrate employee milestones and achievements.

Facilitate workshops and seminars to help employees understand and articulate the company’s brand strategy and their role in it.

Administration and Operations:

Serve as the editor for the internal communication portal, ensuring timely, relevant, and brand-aligned content.

Collaborate with HR to design and implement communication plans for employee wellness programs, benefits updates, and recognition initiatives.

Manage internal crisis communication, ensuring staff receive accurate and timely information during critical incidents.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a similar role.

Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.

Proven experience in developing and implementing strategic communication plans.

Strong understanding of media relations and public relations practices.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

Proficiency in using communication tools and platforms.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as various market and business considerations.

The wage range for this position is $120,000 - 150,000 annually. Starting wage will depend on placement in a Communications Director position based on experience and licensure.

Full time employees receive a well rounded benefit package including access to our company sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA, and Supplemental Life Insurance plans. Company paid Life Insurance, Short Term Disability, and Long Term Disability coverage. Employees are eligible to participate in our company 401k plan with up to a 4% match Additionally, employees also receive paid vacation time, paid sick time, and 11 paid holidays. MacKay Sposito pays for expenses associated with licensure as well as annual profit sharing bonuses.

We understand that life happens so we work to offer flexibility in the workplace. Our team members can choose to work up to two days per week from their home office.
