The Billing Solutions Technology (BST) organization oversees the majority of Billing and Invoicing operations for Schwab.   This includes integration with numerous upstream systems to gather relevant transaction and client data, consolidation of that data along with applying fee schedules via multiple billing platforms, and processing Billions of dollars in revenue for Schwab, touching many lines of business.The BST team is in the middle of a modernization effort, moving to more of a distributed environment, and creating some exciting opportunities to be on the ground floor of our future technology to influence, design, and engineer our future from the ground up.  This position will become a Subject Matter Expert within the Billing platforms, understanding and driving our best practices, configuration and integration with all external systems within Schwab.  They will be involved in understanding business requirements, recommending, and implementing solutions, while mentoring others on the team and our business partners.   Primary duties will include Leading the development and support of our various UI’s leveraged within the Billing space, stand-alone as well as integrated into other products.   The UI will be a new space within Billing, allowing this position to chart new waters while also aligning with Schwab architecture guidelines, and business requirements.   Creating best practices and support approaches for our SAvE team, and creating a UI ensuring ease of use, availability and scalability within the Schwab framework will all be key success milestones.   This position will be the primary lead and developer for the UI, with support from a small offshore team. The best candidate will be a highly motivated and self-driven individual that thrives in a fast paced, exciting development environment.  This role provides an opportunity to leverage strong analytical and development skills to solve complex business problems across multiple functional areas, while also providing technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and applications to support client user requirements.  This role is also critical in driving significant enhancements and streamlining processes which will allow the ability to bring more flexible products to the market quicker. What you’ll do:SME UI/UX developer supporting our internally developed user interface.   Foster partnerships with Business and Technical teams to understand use cases, and create and support a UX to support and ease user needs, while creating a UI that aligns to Schwab architectural guidelinesBecome a subject matter expert within our Internal and vendor supported Billing applications, leveraging the features, attributes, and structure to configure the optimal environment to support our complex business requirements, calculations, and hierarchy.Actively participate in design sessions, develop UI/UX focused software with appropriate unit testing and automated QA testing. Partner with internal and external domains with a quest to ensure our deliverables meet the business and technical requirements.Engage in the modernization of a new billing platform and integration of the new platform into Schwab.Working closely with our Product Owners to help them identify, define and document business/technical requirements.High collaboration with team and vendor partners discussing options and enhancement opportunities.Integration with other applications across the Schwab technical environment, including integration of API’s and Databases into the UI, along with roles based access controls and appropriate audit logging.   The right candidate will be the SME on all aspects of this UI/UX and its integration to the Billing and other Domains.Creation of Tableau reporting for Billing on an ad-hoc basisThe candidate must be able to balance multiple priorities while navigating daily opportunities.The ideal candidate will have a passion for problem solving, quickly learn new concepts, and must be able to interact with all levels of technical and business partners.What you haveRequired qualifications:5+ years developing UI/UX leveraging Angular 3+ years integrating SQL & API’s into associated UI’s3+ year working with large data and experience analyzing and improving efficiency.2+ years of experience designing and coding using object-oriented principles.2+ years of experience in database principles, such as SQL, Oracle, Mongo DB or HadoopExperience with Agile Development Practices, ScrumStrong written and verbal communications, collaboration, and problem-solving skills are necessary.Ability to communicate effectively with business partners and technology teams.Self-starter who can grasp difficult concepts and large architectures quickly.Experience with unit testing and history of successful interaction with a QA groupExperience supporting releases for and applications in production.Desire to mentor peers and junior staffDesire to be a technical leader within a scrum environment.BS or MS in computer science or related technical fieldA yearning to understand and demonstrate new tools and technologies.A yearning to use technology to build products that "wow" users.Preferred qualifications:Experience with Atlassian suite (Bamboo, BitBucket, Jira, Confluence)Exposure to core infrastructure services such as DNS, NAS, SAN, Networking, SMTP, NAC, Active Directory, GPOs, DHCP, and relational databases, and Public and Private Clouds Experience with Tableau reporting and developing dashboards from GCP or external data sourcesKnowledge of SOLID principlesKnowledge of CI/CD methodologiesJob SummaryRequisition ID: 2024-101116Posted Date: 1 week ago(7/14/2024 3:58 PM)Category: Engineering & Software DevelopmentSalary Range: USD $150000.00 - $170000.00 / YearApplication deadline: 7/22/2024Position Type: Full time
