Senior Mechanical/Plumbing Designer
Job Summary:We are seeking a talented Senior Mechanical/Plumbing Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisted engineers in design and engineering skills to a variety of diverse and challenging projects in a multi-disciplinary environment. The position requires experience in creating engineering design documents for construction of facilities, structures, or civil utilities and infrastructure. Past experience must include design consulting business, with demonstrated commercial or industrial design capabilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives and involving
conventional types of plans and specifications.
Reviews work for the application of sound professional judgement.
May be asked to perform basic design calculations such as piping, ductwork or ductolator sizing using standard formulas or look-up tables.
Performs design calculations and prepares equipment or material specifications.
Familiar with the AE design process and specifications leading to construction documents.
Prepare graphical representations of designs.
May be required to coordinate the work of other designers.
Coordinates the work of designers and other technical support personnel.
Other duties may be assigned.
LEVEL OF EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
2-year Associate's Degree in Design Engineering or 10 yrs Design experience
Minimum 7-10 years of Revit, CAD, Mechanical & Plumbing Design Experience
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS

Proficient with MS Office software; including MS Word, and Excel
Proficient with Computer Assisted Drafting (CAD) and software such as AutoCAD
Experience preparing graphical representations of designs
Experience in graphical design of the following: HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, controls, and fire detection systems
Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment
Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a fast-track environment
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situation
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, and financial functions
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
