Description:SummaryThe Fulfillment Center Design Specialist is responsible for developing print (and sometimes digital) designs from ideation to full concept development. In collaboration with the Design Director and the Manager of the Fulfillment Center/Print Shop, this role provides optimal responses to the needs of internal and external constituents for printed resources, while advancing ECC's communication, branding, and marketing strategies.Essential FunctionsProduces/designs, proofs, and updates existing materials for print projects (and occasionally digital projects) using Canva, Microsoft, Adobe Creative Suite and MailChimp for Mac and PC.Handle projects in both print and digital media environments while working as part of a multidisciplinary communication team.Professionally edit and color correct photos.Willingness to learn and perform essential fulfillment center/print shop duties:o Operate all computer and print equipment, software, and devices in the print shop in an expert fashion for the purposes of designing, printing, cutting, folding, collating, binding, etco Set up print projects for mail merges.o Fulfills online orders for printed and other resources ordered viaOther duties as assigned by Design Director and Manager of Fulfillment Center.Requirements:Education and ExperienceRequired: Bachelor's Degree; two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, WordPress, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe InDesign, Final Cut Pro, and Microsoft Office; familiarity with PHP is also desired.Detail oriented, strong organization, prioritization and time-management skills are essential.Works well under pressure and is able to accomplish multiple tasks, with conflicting priorities and timelines. Ability to track and report progress on a wide range of tasks, simultaneously, while ensuring projects are delivered on agreed upon times.Ability to respond to and deal with a range of ad hoc queries/requests.Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; responds promptly and courteously to customer needs; solicits feedback to improve service; responds to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments.Balances team and individual responsibilities.Contributes to building a positive team spirit.Develops workable implementation plans; communicates changes effectively.Ability to operate with discretion and, at times, confidentiality.Likes learning new things.Maintains flexibility in approach and adjusts actions when appropriate.Uses critical thinking skills, applying logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to address challenges.Self-starter, with the ability to work independently.Additional skills are a plus: Photography, Videography, Fluency in SpanishEnvironment ConditionsAble to work well in professional office setting, but occasionally works in remote locales. Occasional travel. Must be versatile and able to work for prolong segments sitting or standing. Must engage frequently with office tools and equipment, such as: computer, copier, phone, web-conferencing equipment, cell communication, printers, and other print shop equipment. Must be able to occasionally lift or move items, less than 40 lbs.; and using machinery to move boxes and crates (Pallets, dolly etc.) Occasionally, pack and unpack, move and lift boxes that contain event materials.
