Let’s run there.Your Job:As the Sports Marketing Specialist you will play a key role in the management of our athlete programs, working to incorporate the athletes into the broader marketing strategy for the brand and driving strong credibility within the running community. You will lead the creation of select athlete storytelling initiatives, support integration with product marketing campaigns, and the development of athlete engagement plans around social media, PR, and events for the athletes. You will support in these areas across the other athlete programs within the sports marketing team and assist in event activations as well as other general athlete management as needed. You will also be expected to support in athlete recruitment for these groups and lead in the onboarding of new athletes to the Brooks brand. Finally, this position will support the Sports Marketing team in the execution of day-to-day general sports marketing related activities, the organization of Brooks’ internal athlete communications, and a variety of additional events throughout the year.Our ideal candidate for this role has deep knowledge of and/or passion for the sport and has a skillset around social media and PR, that they can use to drive engagement with our athlete and youth programs.\n

Your Responsibilities:

Support in the management of athlete programs, including travel planning, internships, appearances, and financial policies for the athlete programOwn processing and management of athlete expense reimbursementsManage distribution of elite athlete kits, product samples and gear codes to athletes ensure that the athlete’s training and competition needs are metPartner with Sports Marketing team to identify new opportunities for growth and continually evolve the strategy for athlete groupsFacilitate the development of the elite athlete teams through athlete recruitment support, NIL athlete management, onboarding, and ongoing communication with athletes and teamsCoordinate wear and biomechanics testing and product feedback sessions with athletes and the Run Research and Product Line Management (PLM) teamsLead in the execution of event activations, race planning, and athlete summitsWork together with Brooks’ regional channels to build a global toolkit for asset sharing around key events and to ensure brand consistency in athlete marketingSupport the Global Brand Content & Experience on the creation of evergreen athlete storytelling telling assets such as landing pages, athlete gear recommendations, etcFind opportunities to build connections with the local and national running community and youth to inspire and promote runningEngage content producers to create story telling opportunities around our athlete team that builds brand awareness and authentically connects the team with Brooks productCoordinate with the sales team in creating opportunities to involve athletes at retail events and brand activations in a manner that promotes credibility for the productBuild out and manage a yearly marketing, competition, and event calendar for Brooks teams and athletes to be shared internallyPartner with footwear and apparel teams to ensure product support for elite athlete groups and athlete integration for wear testing and product developmentFacilitate APLA and EMEA team requests for athlete content and appearancesCollaborate with the social media, PR, and Creative Production teams to lead execution of brand moments in and around competition, as well as identifying “moments” to highlight athlete storiesSports Marketing Events and Strategy SupportServe as a key contributor for Sports Marketing event coordination and athlete experience at events where sports marketing plays a strategic roleSupport planning of annual athlete on-boarding, summits, and additional athlete support/education programs for professional teamsPartner with the Sports Marketing team in the strategy, development, and execution of the Brooks PR meetAdministration and Marketing CommunicationsCoordinate logistics of Sports Marketing related functions including invoices, product orders, athlete celebrations, and programsWork with Sale Analytics team to forecast units for the elite kits and event-based productShare out regular athlete updates and communications to marketing teams and Brooks HQSupport general sports marketing initiatives, SharePoint sites, and take on other duties as assigned

Additional ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the Community Impact team to support community-based youth activations and integrate Brooks athletes through appearances, etc.Collaborate with sports marketing team to support local Brooks events and activationsManage Brooks’ NIL athlete programs as well as individual athlete influencersDevelop the Brooks NIL athlete program strategy and engagement of these athlete influencers with internal teamsSupport the relationship management and strategic development of youth and high school programsQualifications:

BA or BS degree in Communications or Marketing3+ years of marketing, communications, or brand promotion preferredAbility to work and gather information across the organization and assist in developing integrated programsStrong written and oral interpersonal communication skills; must be extremely detail-orientedMust possess the ability to execute a wide variety of tasks and work in a fast-paced, team focused environmentUnderstand the running community and the topics that resonate with runners globallyA passion for the running enthusiast and active lifestyleStrong organizational skills and independent work habitsMS Office skills (including PowerPoint, Word, Excel)Creativity and innovation regarding new marketing initiatives for events and athlete programsAbility to work professionally and efficiently with company partners, athletes, and coachesAbility to travel frequently to domestic events\n

Compensation:

The pay range for this position, based out of the Brooks Seattle HQ, is $58,251 - $81,614.
