POSITION SUMMARY

Assist the Marketing Specialist in the administration of the marketing database processes to ensure the execution and delivery of direct marketing campaigns and initiatives. Coordinate marketing tactics to consistently meet expectations outlined in the strategic marketing plans and meet overall growth, sales, and profitability objectives.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Draft and create offers in guest systems and ensure accuracy.

Assist the Marketing Specialist in monitoring marketing activities, utilization, market saturation, event/promotion success, and ROI of all promotions, offers, events, and media to forecast future performance, adjusting plans to secure desired results as needed

Ensure integrity, efficiency, and effectiveness of promotions and events.

Assist the Marketing Specialist in efforts, both qualitative and quantitative, to analyze results to create and/or adjust programs to effectively drive marketing success.

Coordinate with the marketing team to engage guests with Casino promotions and events.

Assist the Marketing Specialist in monitoring player development, comp, and retention programs.

Engage in projects set by marketing management (data cleansing, queries, etc.)

Maintain a proficient understanding of the Casino Management System (CMS) and relational database report writing software to access contact information and carded play history for segmentation purposes.

Extract and analyze carded guest information and play history utilizing relational database report writing software.

Ensure the integrity of the CMS database for accuracy and protection of proprietary guest and gaming data.

Demonstrates positive communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with guests, (internal and external) at all times.

Review and proof deliverables to ensure the accuracy of the piece to the corresponding matrix and that the message to the guest is clear and concise.

Must have the ability to:

Work varied shifts when needed that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Two (2) years of casino marketing database experience including direct mail, text, mobile and social. Related database experience may be considered.

College degree in statistics, marketing, or related field. Equivalent, proven work experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements.

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and a working knowledge of marketing principles that can be applied to various special projects and player development events.

Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling various tasks and duties simultaneously.

Proficient in MS Office suite and demonstrate strong Excel skills. Working knowledge of SQL-preferred, relational database software.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIESIn addition to the other duties described herein, each team member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:

Employment is contingent on receiving and maintaining adequate licensing, including any required gaming license

Attend required training sessions offered by the Spokane Tribe Resort & Casino

Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations

Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the STRC

Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not encouraged or permitted to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco products

Refer to the Internal Control System and Policy Manuals for guidance

Take the appropriate steps to report exceptions, fraud, acts of wrongdoing, and potential violations of regulations or internal controls to the appropriate levels of management

Uphold high standards of ethical behavior, demonstrate an understanding of the impacts of problem gambling, and have knowledge of the Casino's programs to address problem gambling

Establish rules for promotions and events that conform to Casino policies and regulatory requirements.

Capable of working in an office environment but duties may require working in all casino facilities, especially the Cage, Slots, and IT, where the position may experience moderate noise and secondary smoke;

Capable of working for extended periods of time at a workstation, performing tasks on a computer, and working with documents.
