The Bureau caters to leisure travelers, business travelers, group travel, meetings, conventions, and sporting events in the West Monroe, LA area.Role DescriptionThis is a part-time on-site role for a Graphics Design Assistant at Discover Monroe-West Monroe. The Graphics Design Assistant will be responsible for developing and producing promotional materials, such a power point presentations, bid proposals, videos, commercials, etc., for marketing segments. Design and produce in-house advertising, including four-color and black and white advertising as assigned. Assist with printing and provide design, layout and art direction for co-operative printing projects as specified by the Vice President of Marketing & Communications.QualificationsDegree or working towards degree in graphic design, art, marketing, communications, or related field.Excellent Computer Skills and Knowledge.Knowledge of design principles and Microsoft Office. Marketing knowledge is a plus.Knowledge in the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat PDF.Demonstrate basic understanding of layout, typography and the printing process. Illustration skills are a plus.Good organizational skills.Willingness to learn and take direction.
