Nelson Truss Inc is seeking to hire an experienced
Truss Designer
to work in our
Edgerton WI truss plant . This is a non-remote, in-person position.
Job duties include :
Produce truss layouts and truss designs from architectural drawings for both residential and commercial projects
Interact and effectively communicate with coworkers, lumberyard sales staff, builders, and homeowners
Field measure foundations and remodel projects
Miscellaneous office tasks
Assist with occasional shop duties
Qualifications:
A well-qualified applicant will have excellent communication skills, ability to produce comprehensive roof and floor truss system designs, ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, ability to use or quickly learn to use Alpine design software and possess a problem-solving mindset.
Minimum of one to two years of related experience is desired.
Physical Requirements:
