The Instructional Media and Programming to Advance Collaboration and Teaching (IMPACT) team in SMHS is seeking a Multimedia Producer. The IMPACT team serves the faculty, staff, and administration of the Health Sciences Programs within SMHS in support of teaching, scholarship, and special projects. The Multimedia Producer reports to the Assistant Dean of Academic Planning and Curriculum Management and works closely with the entire IMPACT team. The Multimedia Producer, partners with faculty, staff, and other subject matter experts on various projects.
Responsibilities Include:

  • Produces and edits videos and podcasts for instruction, other scholarly activities, and to promote health science programs
  • Maintains our in-office video studio and equipment
  • Works with faculty, staff, and other subject matter experts on various types of projects for courses, research projects, scholarly activities, and publications
  • Conducts individual and small group instructional sessions on multimedia production and instructional technologies
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 2 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Additional Required Licenses/Certifications/Posting Specific Minimum Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Digital photography and videography skills (indoor event and action)
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite: Premiere Pro, Audition, After Effects, etc.
  • Knowledge of digital accessibility standards (WCAG, Section 508)
  • Familiarity with instructional design
  • Ability to work in and provide support on both Mac and Windows platforms, preferred
  • Experience using a learning or content management system, such as Blackboard or Drupal

Hiring Range

$51,455.52 - $70,708.76
