We strive for execution excellence while being direct, humble, collaborative, and inclusive of diverse perspectives.The Role:AMD is looking for an experienced CEO communications professional with extensive experience in semiconductors or technology and collaborating closely with senior executives to develop communications strategies and deliverables. Working directly with the CMO and head of external communications, this role will be responsible for the development and execution of internal and external CEO communications that help AMD accomplish its business, brand, and communications goals.The role requires an individual who can demonstrate a deep grasp of the issues/opportunities and understanding of the stakeholder landscape to provide sound judgement on narrative, communication forums and audience engagements. This is a unique leadership opportunity supporting communications for a highly visible CEO during an exciting time of growth.The Person:The ideal person will be based in Austin, Texas, and have extensive experience working within a mega cap tech company, possess an understanding of AMD strategy and differentiated industry position and bring a creative, business-focused storytelling sensibility to every project. They must have experience crystalizing distinct messaging and narratives for multiple stakeholder groups while placing AMD within higher level conversations and engagement that intersect with the latest themes. They must also have a track record of translating business results and product messaging into high-quality speeches and presentations. Strong writing, organizational and project management skills, and an emphasis on quality and detail while working on several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment are also critical. The candidate, with prior experience of working with CEOs, must have demonstrated ability to build and foster cross-company relationships to ensure an end-to-end focus when developing communications strategies and deliverables. The role will be hands-on in the elevation and development of communications strategy and content for the CEO, while also overseeing a small team to assist with execution.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement a comprehensive communications plan for the CEO, with clear objectives, strategies for key channels, and metrics for success.Collaborate closely with the CEO and provide communications advice and deliverables that reflect a deep understanding of the business and CEO voice.Work hand-in-hand with key members of the public relations, industry analyst relations, internal communications, investor relations, office of the CEO and business unit teams to ensure consistent messaging across multiple programs and campaigns.Lead the creation and writing of all communications on behalf of the CEO, including external speaking events, global all-employee meetings, internal memos, video scripts, presentations, social media, etc.Stay current on trends, social issues, industry news to anticipate and plan for ongoing communications needs.Preferred Experience:Extensive experience in senior executive communications, with a track record of managing complex communication strategies across diverse stakeholder groups.Capability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced and deadline driven environment.Exceptional writing, storytelling and project management skills.Experience in a company with annual revenue of more than $40 billion.Highly organized and detail-oriented.Quick learner with an ability to rapidly adjust to changes.Executized individual who welcomes collaboration and feedback.Background in corporate PR with media relations experience and long-term relationships with mainstream business media.All candidates must submit a portfolio of material that demonstrates writing and communication planning capabilities.Travel:

Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
