Production Artist - Contract

Whether you're a recently graduated student or a freelancer looking for a few months of stability, this 8-month role may be just what you're looking for.This contract role is specific to a project requiring font updates and basic layout review of thousands of documents. The artist will be required to be onsite in West Des Moines 40 hours per week working in a corporate communications department alongside existing staff. A computer and software licenses will be provided. The artist should be fluent in both InDesign and Illustrator.Keys to success in this contract include the ability to maintain focus, attention to detail, experience with basic project management principals and the skills necessary to ensure quality control within a repetitive process.Employment details include:40 hours/weekOnsite (no remote or work from home option)Salary equivalent to $50,000/year for duration of contractUp to $10,000 bonus upon completion of contractFull employment benefits including health/dental, etc.8-month contract with possible extensions if project extendsWill work together with a second artist hired with the same termsLikely start is September 16, 2024, with an anticipated end date of May 17, 2025Contract will include six days (48 hours) of PTO along with company holidaysNovember 28-29, 2024December 24-25, 2024January 1, 2025January 20, 2025Because this is a production art job, no portfolio is required but applicants are free to send one if available.
