Duties:
As a product designer in Platform Design, you will partner closely with engineering teams and TPMs to design internal developer tools and workflows, whether from scratch or improvements to existing experiences. You will play a key role in providing design expertise and evangelizing UX principles to technical teams, who will benefit from your user-centered approach to boost developer satisfaction and productivity. Improving the experience of Client's developers benefits the entire ecosystem of Client's users.
What you'll do:Design and enhance internal developer tools and workflows that typically span multiple surfacesEmploy end-to-end design process, collaborating with engineers and PMs/TPMsUtilize a holistic systems mindset and use design systems to ensure proper standards and qualityRegularly engage with engineering customers to understand their needs and pain points and gather feedback from them to iterate and measure successRun light user research that may involve surveys or interviews (with the help of a playbook)Present your work at the Platform Design Team's weekly review for design feedbackSkills: What we're looking for:
2+ years of industry experience designing digital products especially for web-experience on internal tools, developer tools, or enterprise preferredAbility to share work early and often, and iterate in tight cycles based on data, and input from users and stakeholdersFamiliarity with running user research and service design methodologiesExperience using Figma and staying up-to-date on the latest features preferredA basic understanding of software development concepts and workflowsAn interest in or motivation by working on complex challengesCuriosity, user empathy, strong communication and collaboration skills, and a growth mindsetJob Requirement
